Jhonatan was responsive and polite. However, he turned up an hour late for our appointment due to train traffic. Then after filling out the paperwork at the leasing office I was informed that the building did not accept dogs, which was not what Jhonatan told me. I wasted two hours and never got to view the apartment. While I understand that there were train issues and Jhonatan said that he had called to check about the dog issue. The fact is that I did not have a good experience.

Looking for my first apartment in NY was such a fun experience for me because I felt like Jhonatan & I were just two good friends hanging out in the city. Jhonatanâs big smile and warm personality are so contagious and he made what is typically a dreaded experience into one that is so memorable for me. Not only was I able to find the perfect new home, but I also made a new friend and I feel so incredibly lucky to have met Jhonatan. He was there for me each step of the way from figuring out what Iâm looking for, to checking out a number of units all over the city, to signing the lease and celebrating over Columbian pastries together! Jhonatan is an amazing broker. I had trouble getting my first apartment and had to find something within 2 days. He automatically responded to my email which was after office hours and even offered to chat on the phone.I met with him the first thing in the morning and saw the unit. He helped me apply for the unit and even helped me navigate my way through New York using the subway and helping me find my way around as I am new to the city (from Los Angeles). He has an amazing personality that is very easy going. He is very on top of all his clients needs and knows what is needed in order for you to get approved with your application. He follows up with you without you having to follow up with him and makes you feel at ease.If you are new to NY and want to work with an easy going broker, I would definitely recommend Jhonatan. NY brokers are known to be aggressive sharks but Jhonatan is very hospitable, patient and listens to his clients.Although, I am still in the processing of getting an apartment with Jhonatan I will only book through him when I can move around December of this year.He definitely cares about all his clients and follows up even if you use other brokers or decide to look for something else. He cares for all his clients.I would trust this broker and I highly recommend him. You would be wasting your time with other brokers who just want your money or for you to apply to almost everything and anything.I have had work with brokers that do not even let you get in a word in edge wise or do not even follow up with you after you have applied and you are left in doubt. Jhonatan never leaves you in doubt.Jhonatan, thank you so much for all your help, hospitality and kindness. Even though, I am not prepared to get an apartment at the moment, I truly value your time and business. I will definitely use you for all my apartment searches in the future as I am now a New Yorker. I met with this broker and was amazed that there was a friendly broker in NYC. I have been looking for an apartment for sometime now and have been through a lot of pushy and unpleasant people seeking housing, but when I met with Jhonathan, he was able to answer all of my questions with ease and made the process easier. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. It can be a headache finding a good apartment in NYC but with the right broker, I was able to find a place.
