I really lucked out with Jake! He worked with me to understand my priorities in an apartment and my budget, came prepared with several options that I might be interested in, and was very knowledgeable about the area! Once I found an apartment I liked, he was very helpful in walking me through how the application process worked, and then streamlining my app. He's a great guy, replied to every one of my many emails extremely promptly, and was super flexible meeting me as my schedule demanded.
I went into our apartment hunt figuring we were going to get screwed, and this was after living in the city for 5 years. Finding Jake was such game changer in terms of our overall experience. He genuinely cared about us finding an apartment that would work for us, not just what he could get us to sign on quickly. He took us to multiple locations, across several days, and didn't even flinch when we totally switched what our requirements were mid way through. Along the way he was incredibly up front with different aspects of the apartments I might have missed (the fridge is smaller than normal, the bathroom is railroaded, this is right down the block from a big school, this will require $X of fees). I really felt like we benefited from all his experience renting/leasing apartments, and he was in our corner every step of the way. I went into lease signing feeling like I actually knew what I was signing up for. We've been in our new place for about two weeks, and it's been great. I can't recommend Jake enough if you're looking to rent in the city!

Jake was a pleasure to work with! It was wonderful to user a broker who actually lived in the building we were looking at and therefore who knew how living there would actually be. He was very professional and prompt with responding to my roommates and I, especially when we asked many of the same questions. Jake was such a wonder!! Unlike other brokers we've dealt with before, Jake was completely different, in that it really felt like he was working FOR us. He definitely gave the impression that he was genuinely working in our best interest. Jake guided us through the whole process and stuck his neck out for us when it came time deal with the leasing office of our building. We had some difficulty due to new building representatives and unresponsive tenants, but he stayed on top of them the whole time to make sure he got answers for us. He made himself available to us whenever we needed and was always responsive to any questions we had. He approached our apartment situation with a sense of urgency as if he was looking for himself, which showed how invested he was in helping us. If you're lucky enough to work with Jake, trust that you are in EXCELLENT hands!
Jake did a great job, helping us find no fee apartments. He was also not pushy at all and showed us a ton of apartments in a short period of time.
Jake was excellent. There were four of us moving into the apartment we found, which meant a lot of people fussing over details, and Jake took the time to answer all of our questions, give us some helpful unsolicited advice to point us in the right direction, and ease our minds about anything we were unsure about. He stayed on top of everything from showing the space through to putting in an application and signing a lease- and everything in between. He truly went above and beyond to make sure that we felt truly comfortable with the space we had found and happy/excited that it was going to be ours.
I recommend highly! Super nice, friendly/personable guy with utmost professionalism, and will be great for helping you find your next space!

Apartment hunting in NYC can be a nightmare. I've dealt with more than one agent who clearly did not have my best interest in mind. Jake is different - intelligent, competent and refreshingly honest. Unlike other agents who just want to close you and move on, Jake will go out of his way to help you make the best possible decision. He won't just throw a pile of paperwork at you and tell you to sign - he will take the time to explain things thoroughly so you always understand exactly what's going on. Plus, he is a very nice guy and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.

Jake was great. After being let down by some slimy brokers, Jake was able to find us an apartment quickly. I’ve dealt with brokers for years and they’re transparently greedy. I generalize, but yes, the majority have been full of bullshit. Jake didn’t seem greedy. He seemed like he wanted to help. He was also gracious, friendly, and efficient. We got the keys to the place in a couple days without any surprise hurdles to jump. I appreciated his efforts in securing our apartment for us. I’m glad I got an apartment through Jake instead of on of the other brokers. I’m glad my broker’s fee went to someone I liked.
Jake was great to work with right from the start. We had been working with two other brokers at the time and were struggling to have them understand what we we're looking for. My roommates and I hated cutting out of work to see apartments that no where near hit the mark for us. When we stumbled upon Jake, he immediately hit the nail on the head for us. He cross-checked listings we were currently looking at, sent us new listings he had and was incredibly flexible with our schedules. Remarkably, Jake found our current apartment on his second attempt with us. We found Jake on a Tuesday and we're sold on our apartment by Thursday! Highly recommend!
