I worked with Gregory Witchel and Dale Bowrin on finding an apartment in Manhattan. This was my first time in NYC and I had no idea about any of the transit lines or types of apartment or how the market worked. Both Greg and Dale were extremely accomodating and gave me invaluable information when I needed it most. They made an extremely stressful situation much more comfortable than I had imagined it could be. Dale showed me around the city for 8 hours over two days and many apartments. While I obviously did not enjoy paying the brokers fee, Greg did a great job. I gave him very specific parameters for what I was looking for, and all of the apartments I was shown were within those parameters. I did not feel pressured to choose something that I did not initially want. Ultimately, I found a great place. Greg was also very helpful in guiding me through the process of applying to the landlord.
I've worked with my fair share of brokers during my time in NY, but this is by far the BEST experience I have ever had. Greg was incredibly helpful, and made sure I found the perfect apartment for me. Greg was such a great surprise - I walked into the office not really knowing what I was looking for, and unfamiliar about the process - I walked out putting an application in and signing my lease the next day! He showed me an apartment that had just gone on the market, which I loved. He was very honest about setting expectations as far as what my budget would get me. Also, as a female he took things into consideration like not wanting to be on the 1st floor, safety, elevator, etc and that was important to me.
