About Bobby
Time on RentHop: 6 Years
Bobby Tolliver has spent the majority of his career helping others feel comfortable in their homes. Most recently, he worked in Spanish Harlem with a team of 17-24 year olds painting murals in parks, cleaning out green spaces all over New York, repainting parks and building planter beds and benches with the non-profit City Year. He also tutors 5th graders in literacy four days per week. Before that he worked for the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area helping people with a myriad of legal housing, education and immigration issues. And he started in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio giving speeches at local colleges to incoming freshman on how to survive the year. His advice?

"Show your professors that you're invested in what they have to say and they"ll show that they are invested in teaching you what they know."

Tell Bobby what you're looking for and he'll help you find it. His background in non-profit work taught him it was imperative that he be capable of empathizing with clients and putting their needs first at all times. He got into real estate because, much like his work in the non-profit sector, he enjoys finding housing for people.

He specializes in the Financial District and Williamsburg where he also lives and spends a lot of his time biking around the neighborhood, discovering new music halls and cafes. Upon arriving in NY, he fell in love with the diversity of Williamsburg and the creative, eclectic, safe, open feel of the community.
