The very first Apt she showed me was exactly what I wanted. Andy was also great in helping me through the application process and getting me approved very quickly. Incredibly knowledgeable, trustworthy, and quick. Andrea always has by best interests in mind and spent our time wisely on units she knew were the perfect fit. Funny, great relationships with landlords and always quick to respond to any questions.

Im writing this review after 1 month of renting.After several trips, Andrea found an apartment that met my needs. She has years of experience and knows which property management/landlords to avoid (proven by the fast response my super). If you are committed to finding an apartment in her area, she will give you her full attention.

I was moving to NYC from out of state and I needed a place for at least a year. Andrea made the process as quick and easy as possible. I’ve heard the nightmares and it was nice to be kept in constant communication from apartment viewing to move in!

She always kept in mind that our newborn would be on her way soon so she showed us the best apartments and didn't waste our time. She was reliable, efficient, polite and punctual. Andy is very driven and I appreciate all the hard work that she put in, to show me numerous apartments when it was sub zero temperatures outside. We were texting endlessly before seeing the apartments as she wanted to know my search criteria in detail. This level of commitment is rare among NYC real estate agents, who just want to show you anything as long as they can collect a commission. Andy would be the first agent I’d contact for my next search, if she’s willing to entertain someone as picky as myself again! :)

Andi was very responsive and informed on the process. We had initially scheduled to view an apartment but Andi found out it had rented, just an hour or so before we were supposed to meet. She put together new information and arranged a new visit on the same day, which I and 2 other roommates liked and wanted to apply for me. We are first time renters and she helped us through the process at every stage. I would definitely recommend working with Andi.

Awful awful awful. Came into the city for one weekend from out of state. Andi made an appointment with my girlfriend and I to view apartments she had listed, set a place and time, and no showed. Andi made sure we waited at our set location to view apartments for 30 minutes with out a call or text before we just left. We should have known this would happen as Andi's communication was terrible from the start. I would not recommend using her.

Andi is the best! Having lived in NYC for the better half of fifteen years in five different apartments, I know how hard it is to find an agent that will listen to your criteria and actually show you apartments within that criteria. But, Andi did just that. Despite my pickiness, Andi found us the perfect apartment - it meets all the requirements we had hoped for and it was UNDER budget!

I wanted to find a place quickly and easily and that's exactly what Andi helped me do. Within two days, I was signing my lease. Highly recommended!

Andi is hands down the best broker I've worked with in Manhattan. I have lived in the city for years and have worked with many different brokers when looking for an apartment. Most of them will lie about locations or listings, or show you any place, even if it's the complete opposite of what you told them you are looking for.Every single place Andi showed us was great, and no matter how picky we were, she was incredibly pleasant and confident that she could find exactly what we wanted. We gave her a narrow radius and asked for a number of things including a large kitchen, open layout, street facing, live-in super, clean building etc. She found a place that had it all.Looking at places with Andi ended up being a lot of fun!

Finding a suitable rental property in Manhattan proved to be a much greater challenge than I'd originally projected. The first broker I worked with spent plenty of time showing me apartments, but didn't seem to have a very complete taste or knowledge in New York housing. After spending two entire days touring stale, undesirable units throughout the city, I was referred to Andi by a colleague of mine.I met Andi late on a Friday afternoon and within an hour or two she showed me at least five or six awesome rental properties in Midtown. Rather than stepping through a list of questionable apartments and hoping for the best, Andi brought me to what seemed like the hottest, most desirable units she knew of. Compared to other brokers in the city, Andi demonstrates a degree of knowledge and enthusiasm about house hunting that is absolutely necessary in a high-demand market like New York City. When it came time to complete paperwork and apply for the unit I wanted, Andi worked as a powerful liaison between the management company and myself. If you haven't worked with a New York real estate firm before, believe me when I say that you NEED an advocate to step you through the enigma that is the renter application process. Without Andi's efforts starting with my initial hunt all the way through the day I signed my lease, I would probably still be looking for an apartment. I highly recommend working with Andi!

Andi is one of the most hard-working people I've ever met. My apartment search was arduous and she stayed positive and was completely understanding of my particular needs. Most agents would probably have been irritated after showing me the 20th apartment, but not Andi - she's a trooper. AMAZING, STRESS-FREE experience working with Andi Penn. In 1 day, I met with six brokers. Five of them tried to shove apartments down my throat that didn’t meet my requirements or price range. The 6th (Andi) actually listened to me, took some time to look at all listings in the area, and then provided me with several options that met my criteria. HORRIBLE! COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME! UNPROFESSIONAL!Wasted two days of my time emailing and texting with her about scheduling appts for her to cancel/ switch times. I work during the week and this was a nuisance. I am generally patient but this was out of order. If you make an appointment you should keep it. It would be great if naked apartments let you attach photos because I would love to show the screenshots of the long text history that shows what a waste of time working with her was. After finally confirming that she had two apartments available (one vacant and one occupied) she agreed to meet me at 6:45pm on the corner of 95th Street and 2nd Avenue. Someone from her office texted me saying that occupied apt was not able to get into which means the vacant apartment was still available to view. I got there at 6:37pm and texted "I'm here" with no response text. I called her number and it went direct to voicemail. Did not get a text response until maybe 10 minutes later stating she couldn't talk now and wanted to know which apartment I was inquiring about as though this was the first time we communicated. Was then told she would not be to show the vacant apartment until an hour later because she was with another client. She expected me to wait for an hour for her which is quite rude. Seriously inconsiderate and unprofessional. This is exactly why I don't like working with brokers. Are we seriously expected to pay a 15% of the annual rent as a broker fee for this kind of service? Totally unacceptable and to brush it off as though it was nothing was beyond rude. I will definitely not rent a place from Andi as I do not appreciate my time being wasted.

Hey NYC Renters!I suggest using Andi!She was amazing and an absolute doll to work with!i LOVE our new apartment and it was pretty smooth and straight forward.. this is my third NYC apartment .. my previous experiences were a nightmare ..Shady agents that had lied to us and mislead through the whole process. Andi was upfront about everything and we signed a lease within a couple days of applying, drama free.If you want a good NYC rental experience use Andi!She's cool, professional and on top of her game.Good job Andi and thank you!!!!

She was responsive, but insisted on communicating via text only...The pictures and description of the property were COMPLETELY false, and she never informed me that the occupants would still be there when I went to view. When she agreed (via txt) to show the apt. and I asked for the address with cross streets, she texted back "Google it". I should have bailed then, I almost did, pushing back our meeting 1/2 hour which was probably the reason she would give for why she had the tenant show the smoke laden, cramped, 4th flr WALK-UP! (when did she plan on telling me that?).Save yourself the grief.
