DESCRIPTION
I remember the years when, as an international New Yorker, I lived in one of the Landmarks, in the Webster women's housing not far from the new skyscrapers of Hudson Yards. I watched from the roof of our magical terrace how magnificent buildings were rising along the Hudson. Every morning in my walk I would count some new ones that are springing up and now, with the knowledge of this part of Manhattan, I describe the advantages of living in a high-quality building of modern architecture. They are so comfortable to live in and provide a high standard of living up to luxury. I especially like that they are almost sound proof. The sounds are not heard from outside and you enjoy the panoramic view of the city and the Hudson. Nothing competes with that.

The plan for mixed-use development was put forth in 2008 and the groundbreaking for 10 Hudson Yards took place in December of 2012.

Since then, eight of the proposed sixteen buildings have been completed, as well as a public green space. The next phase of Hudson Yards construction will finish out the project and is expected to be complete in 2024. Several major…
