Koreatown is a small neighborhood with a big heart right in
midtown Manhattan. Hugged by 5th and 6th Avenues, and between 30th
and 36th Street, Koreatown is a bustling neighborhood within a

The Hart-Cellar Immigration Act of 1965 paved the way for many
Korean immigrants to make their home in the United States. Those
who came to New York, started small businesses in the Diamond and
Garment Districts, making a lot of money from the foot traffic of
visitors seeing The Empire State Building.
A little over a decade later, Korean businesses were able to
purchase the buildings they were using. These owners began to
redevelop West 32nd street, today known as Korea Way. Since then
