About this Neighborhood:
Clinton is trendy among those looking for a diverse place that still captures the history of New York. Now a haven for young professionals, actors, and writers, particularly ones who work in the Theater district, and is known for an high concentration of excellent and diverse restaurants, as well as some of the best bars and night spots in Manhattan. Clinton witnessed a construction boom over the past decade and because of that, there are many high-end luxury buildings and businesses that cater to those with exquisite taste. Separated from the Theater District by quiet, tree-lined streets, on street parking and much to do for locals, the Hell's Kitchen/Clinton area is very unique. other things, like the construction of New York Hospital in
1911.
The population of the area exploded in the early 1900's. Even
so, the city didn't pay too much attention to the area, which led
to increased poverty and crime. During prohibition, Hell's Kitchen
was the site of several major distilling and rumrunner…
