Live/work room available in performing arts space, The Floasis, for Jan 23rd! Two fire and flow artists are looking for a roommate to share their artist community, no smoking home with along with 3 charming kitties.
The room is on the ground floor, large (10'x15') sunny and furnished with a huge utility closet. Last image shows the big closet, inside there's a brand new AC for the room and sheets in there, all included in the room. Shared space includes a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, A HUGE backyard (1,500 sq ft) and a dance studio with wall to wall mirrors (20'x17' of studio flooring!). All split between only 3 roommates.
The room is $900 + utilities (roughly $175/month). The indoor and outdoor spaces are free to use to teach, shoot or rehearse. Bonuses also include monthly access to Materials For The Arts, a city sponsored resource for free materials. Plus residents get 20% off classes at The Floasis.
We are a no smoking indoors house but we have a big backyard and covered canopy for smoking. Due to our 3 cats, we cannot take any more pets.

Surrounded by Williamsburg, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Ridgewood
Queens, East New York and Brownsville, Bushwick is a trendy area
beloved by artists and young professionals. With a hopping
nightlife and some great restaurants, it's no wonder why people
love this neighborhood.
Some of the roads traversed by hipsters and artists on their
bikes today are trails cut by Native Americans. Taken over by the
Dutch, the land became food and tobacco farms, and then
transitioned into an industrial hotspot in the 1800's.
The factories of Bushwick primarily produced sugar, oil, and
various chemicals. These factories brought many immigrants,
especially German ones, to the neighborhood. These immigrants
opened many breweries and Bushwick was soon named as the "beer
capital of the Northeast."
During the late 1800's, Bushwick garnered more of an Italian
population as well, though industry still dominated the
neighborhood until after WWII, when many of the factories…
