DESCRIPTION
Looking for a female or LGBTQ roommate to move into my current apartment and sign a year long lease!

This will be my third year going into this newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment so all you have to do is move in and put together your room! The room can comfortably fit a full size bed and has a spacious closet. Your window opens to the fire escape and there is a lot of natural light.

The apartment has a living room kitchen combo with a couch that doubles as a pull out bed (for visitors) and a full bathroom! Heat and hot water is included and utilities (electric and wifi) are under $60 each month. Laundry is just a block away and we have a super in the building as well as an elevator.

Right around the corner is Prospect Park with the lake and LeFrak center as soon as you enter. The neighborhood provides a nice green escape from city life. There are many new bars, coffee and bagel shops, restaurants, grocery stores and a Duane Reade.
SUBWAYS: Parkside Avenue Q train is 3 minutes away, Church Avenue B/Q 5 minute walk, Prospect Park Shuttle 10 minute walk.

You'll be living with me! 25 year old with a sweet cat named Ewing. I work freelance in the film/tv industry so my work days/hours are all over the place. I enjoy hanging with my roommate (cooking, glass of wine, movie, games) or even going out in the neighborhood together. I also respect and appreciate alone time as well. Definitely not one to bring the party home.

First and security as well as proof of income is required to move in. No subleases allowed by management. RENT CONTROLLED- rent has only gone up $10 per person each year.

This area is extremely popular with tourists and is full of shopping opportunities, restaurants, and amazing nightlife. While most of the buildings here hold offices, there are a decent number of people who live here and love calling this neighborhood their home.

Fun Facts and History of Flatiron

While Flatiron has been around for a while, the Flatiron building wasn't built until 1902, and is considered one of NYC's first-ever skyscrapers. The area has always been a popular shopping district, even being called the "Toy District" at one point due to several shops that sold quality goods for children.

The neighborhood became designated as Flatiron in 1985 thanks to some creative real estate developers seeking to popularize the neighborhood. This attracted many residents and businesses seeking to reside in some of NYC's most famous landmarks. Today Flatiron still attracts…
