DESCRIPTION
Hi world,

I am going to be all out and about for the next couple months, and am looking for someone awesome, kind, and respectful to sublet my cute lil' room for 6 months. Must be able to stay for the full 6-month term.

The room is tiny (8x8) and has a lofted bed. There's a desk, dresser, and a DIY birch clothing rack. It's been designed to maximize space - there's always enough space for me to do my daily yoga!

Ideally, it'd be a super deal for someone without a lot of things, just looking for some cozy place to sleep and relax. There's no AC, but there are two tiny fans that really do work wonders.

You'd of course have access to the living room, kitchen, and bathroom shared with 2 other roommates with busy schedules. There's a smart TV equipped with Netflix, and Hulu. Nutribullet for all your smoothie needs :)

There's a cleaning service 2x / month already included in the rent.

Utilities not included. About 50-70$/month depending on usage.

To move in, you'd need to pay 1st month's rent + Security deposit = $1,350.

Apt is 5 min walk from the train -- A / 1 trains, 168th Street. Quick access to all the bustle downtown :)

Text/email if serious. Come see the room! :)

Thanks all -

Fun Facts and History of Washington Heights

Named for Fort Washington, which was constructed to fend off the British during the American Revolutionary War, Washington Heights was largely farmland, with several stately manors peppering the hilly area. One such manor, the Morris-Jumel House, still stands today as the oldest building in Manhattan.

As the city expanded after the revolution, more and more structures were built in the Heights to house the growing population. The development of apartment complexes and row houses led to an influx of Irish immigrants in the 1900′s, followed by a large Jewish population in the…
