DESCRIPTION
Great brunch spots just a 2 minute walk away (Queen's Comfort!). Apartment is positioned between 2 of the top 3 hubs of Astoria (30th Ave and Broadway Ave) so there are plenty of bars/restaurant options nearby. Several chill coffee shops nearby as well if you're a caffeine lover or if you get to work from home from time-to-time. Apartment itself is very spacious - the living room is enormous, floors are tile but rugs are welcome. The kitchen is complete with great amenities, gas stove top, microwave, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and plenty of cupboard space. There is rooftop access (summertime will be great up there). I work in Midtown Manhattan and my commute is 30 minutes door-to-door. Nearby stations offer the N, W, R, M, E, plus others I may have missed & several buses. This location is a great balance for those working in Manhattan but looking to pay lower rent. I'm leaving because my projects at work are taking me out-of-state for an extended period of time, otherwise I would totally continue living here. You will be taking my spot in the apartment - my roommates are cool/friendly yet they will respect your space, and the other occupants in the building are all young professionals. Overall this is a great option for the price and access to NYC.

MAP
ASTORIA
Astoria is a quiet and relaxed neighborhood nestled in between
the East River and LaGuardia Airport. Mostly residential, this
neighborhood has many hidden gems like restaurants, museums, art
galleries, and performance venues. Perfect for those seeking a
relaxed alternative to Manhattan while also having easy access to
it, Astoria is perfect for young professionals and families.
Astoria is named for John Jacob Astor, the very first
multi-millionaire in the United States. Back when the area was
colonized in 1652, Astoria was originally called "Hallet's Cove."
That name persisted until the neighborhood was officially named a
town in 1839, when the residents were trying to persuade Astor to
invest in the area.
Astor did end up investing and the town of Astoria lasted around
30 years before being absorbed into Long Island City in 1870, and
then into the Great New York City as a part of Queens in 1898. As
the population grew and industry came to Queens…
