DESCRIPTION
Hi there,
I am moving to west coast at the beginning of April, so looking for a new roommate to renew the lease together with my current roommate. You and her will be signing the contract together with the apartment owner to secure your right. I have been living at different places at New York for 7 years, I have to say by far this apartment is my favorite and a very good deal for what it has to offer. Come check it out. :)

❰ Move In Date and Lease ❱
You can move in after 4/12, the lease will be 1 year (till 5/31/2019)

❰ Rent ❱
Deposit $1000
Monthly Rent $1690
Share Utility with roommate (About $60 per month)

❰ The Building and Location ❱
This is a nice private room in a two bedroom apartment located at East Village. The building is pretty new and very well maintained. The apartment itself is quiet but at a great location next to Tompkins Square Park, close to NYU. Also steps away from lots of great coffee shops/restaurants/bars and vintage shops. Everything is walking distance and the subways (6, N, Q, R, L) are all 10 mins away.

❰ The Space ❱
The building has an elevator, laundry/bike room in the basement, also a nice shared roof deck. The apartment has a lot of space and an open living room and kitchen, a private patio, which is my favorite part of the place. You will be sharing the common area (living room, kitchen and bathroom) with 1 roommate, but there's a good distance in between the two rooms so you would have your privacy.

❰ Furnitures ❱
Currently, I have some well maintained furnitures in there: a single bed that can be extended, a working desk/chair, a bookshelf, an AC. The room can come in empty, but if you are interested to buy all the current furnitures which I used less than a year, I can offer all of them for $600, and some small things for free if you want to keep them.

❰ Roommate ❱
Just a little bit info about my roommate: She is originally from Taiwan and in her early 30s, studied graphic design at School of Visual Arts and is currently working at a digital advertising agency as a visual designer. She is a super talented illustrator, a foodie, a Disney lover and a marathon runner, who by the way just finished the Tokyo full marathon this month! She's very clean and respectful, the most perfect roommate I could have asked for, so I wish to find someone that share the similar qualities.

❰ House Rule ❱
-Sorry no pets
-No crazy parties
-Please don't bring guest all the time
-Please clean after yourself while using kitchen and bathroom

**
If you are interested, please write a short intro about yourself so we can get to know a bit more about you, and schedule a room showing sometime soon! Thanks a lot.

EAST VILLAGE

The East Village is a buzzing hub of youthful energy and activity, boasting bookstores, cafes, galleries, and hip bars. Situated between 3rd avenue and the East River, with 14th street to the north and Houston to the south, this neighborhood is both stylish and laid back. Once the most vibrant art scene in NYC, it remains a trendy neighborhood to the avant-garde while also boasting a much more polished edge, complete with luxury condos, franchised coffee shops, and plenty of lunch spots.

Fun Facts and History of East Village

Like most of New York, the East Village started out as farmland. Until the early 1960s, the East Village was just the northern tip of the Lower East Side, largely occupied by German and Ukrainian working class immigrants. However, the Beat movement made its roots in the East Village in the 1950's and paved the way for the influx of the counterculture scene of the 60s.

Since then, the art scene of the East Village exploded with series like Andy Warhol's…
