PET FRIENDLY

A modern and luxurious lifestyle awaits in Rego Park, a neighborhood rich with character and New York charm. Welcome to The Drake, where elegant residences are only amplified by unparalleled amenities. Named for a former neighborhood mainstay, a movie theater that opened in 1935, this 419-unit rental building offers a collection of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom residences, all boasting private outdoor space. Here, home means clean lines, sensible layouts, and modern kitchens and bathrooms with stainless steel appliances and contemporary fixtures.

Bright contemporary kitchens boast stainless steel appliances by Whirlpool, Signature Hardware fixtures, quartz countertops artfully accented by a white subway tile backsplash, and a blend of high gloss and wood cabinets. The clean modern design continues in the bathrooms, which offer light wood vanities, Kohler soaking tubs, and separate shower stalls.

Amenities extend far beyond the apartments, and include a modern doorman-attended lobby, a cutting-edge fitness center, thoughtfully designed resident lounge and playroom, and a pet spa for your four-legged roommates. Additional conveniences include a laundry room and expansive storage space.

Sophistication continues outside your apartment, beginning with an inviting mid-century modern doorman-attended lobby, a cutting-edge fitness and wellness center, thoughtfully designed resident lounge and playroom, and a pet spa for your four-legged roommates. Additional conveniences include a laundry room and storage space-which offers separate areas to stow bicycles and baby carriages.

Located in the heart of Queens, The Drake is surrounded by local favorites like Rego Park Center, Queens Center, and beautiful Flushing Meadows Park. For adventures near and far, the E, M, and R subway lines are right in the neighborhood.

REGO PARK

Hugged by Forest Hills and Middle Village, Rego Park is the sleepy suburban neighborhood that many of the wonderful people of Queens call home. However, this diverse neighborhood isn't just a place for folks to hang their hats. There's also some amazing dining and shopping destinations that help make the area popular amongst young professionals.

Fun Facts and History of Rego Park

Originally inhabited by the Lenape people, Rego Park was colonized by the Dutch and British around 1653. The settlement became known as Whitepot, and was incorporated into the Township of Newtown. The area was largely used for farmland, especially among British and Chinese immigrants, until the early 1900's.

Whitepot eventually became known as Rego Park, "Rego" being an abbreviation for "Real Good" as in the Real Good Construction Company that developed the area to be more residential. Department stores were later added, making Rego Park a popular place.
