DESCRIPTION
Hello!

I am moving out of state and seeking a sublet for one bedroom of a two bedroom apartment in the Crown Heights/Prospect Heights border. Rent is $1,450 per month plus Wifi and utilities (split with roommate). Apartment has rooftop access with seating and laundry in the basement.

Availability is from early February (flexible start date!) through June 30th when the lease ends. Apartment can come furnished (for a small, negotiable price - bed, dresser, shelving unit) or unfurnished if needed. Bedroom has great lighting (overhead lighting as well as two large windows), closet space, and hardwood floors.

Apartment is a great location - under a 5 minute walk to Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn Museum, 2/3 train (Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum) and 4/5 (Franklin Ave), and great restaurants on Franklin Avenue. 10-15 minute walk to great Prospect Heights restaurants on Vanderbilt Avenue.

Roommate is a quiet, respectful, 30-year old female Pratt student who often spends the day at the library, so remote work together is not an issue.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or to view the apartment over facetime or in person!

After the American Revolution, Brooklyn's population began to grow rapidly, and the land of Prospect Heights was sold to the city in order to build housing.

The original grid for Prospect Heights was drawn in 1833 and constructed in 1834, based largely on how the land had been run by the farmers who settled there. However, Brooklyn decided, as streets were still being constructed, to lay a new grid all together in 1839. A deal was struck to keep the streets already constructed which is why some of the streets in Prospect Heights…
