This apartment  features beautiful hardwood floors, a modern open kitchen with stainless steel GE stove, stainless steel GE refrigerator, stainless steel GE dishwasher, granite counter tops and a breakfast bar. The living room gets tons of natural light in the afternoon facing west and has great open views. The master bedroom has floor to ceiling windows and is spacious enough for a king size bed and night tables and features 2 large closets and a windowed master bathroom with shower. The 2nd bedroom is equally spacious and also features floor to ceilings and great natural light.

The entire apartment comes ready with shades so you don't have to worry about it.

Residents of The Aston enjoy a 24 hours doorman, modern lobby, fitness center, outdoor landscaped terrace with furniture and barbeque grills. Onsite parking is also available for an extra fee.

There's the public library right across the street and the subway stop for the EFMR trains on the corner. The LIRR is one block south and can get you to Penn station in about 12 minutes. The local post office is about two blocks away on Queens Boulevard by the park. There's a multiplex Regal Cinema across the street on Queens Boulevard. Forest Park has a golf course, horseback riding, hiking trails, a carousel made by the same people who did the Central Park carousel, and in the summer there's a bandshell that does outdoor concerts.

There are also plenty of restaurants such as Seafood, wine bars, Mexican, Thai, dim sum, Greek, Sushi, Italian. There's a tiki-themed cocktail bar on Metropolitan run by the guys from Dutch Kills in LIC. Coffeewise, there are two Starbucks's and an organic indie place (and Dunkin Donuts of course). There's also a Bareburger and a Shake Shack will be coming in the spring.

Gyms: there's a NYSC, a Title Boxing Club, and a Lucille Roberts on Austin, along with a bunch of yoga studios, some spin cycle spots, and some indie gyms.

Supermarkets: There are at least six that are walkable from the building. There's also a big Stop & Shop and a Trader Joe's about a ten minutes away driving.

There is a Target coming soon. There's also a Banana Republic, Gap, Victoria's Secret, Gamestop, Sephora, Aldo, Eddie Bauer, Mens Wearhouse, NY & Company, and lots of boutiques, jewellery stores, etc.

Banks: There's just about all of them. TD, BofA, Chase, Citi, Santander, M&T, Emigrant, HSBC...

Fun Facts and History of Forest Hills

In the early days, Forest Hills was made up of six large farms. In 1895, the area just beneath those farms was being transformed into a park known as Forest Park. In 1906, developers bought the six large farmlands in order to develop them into a neighborhood, which would be named Forest Hills as a tribute to the neighboring park.
