DESCRIPTION
You enter this renovated 3br unit to the open kitchen on the left and large living room before you. This art deco unit offers charm by way of original hardwoods, natural light and frame moldings throughout the space. The kitchen is updated with dishwasher, Microwave and easy to clean cupboards. The first bedroom, which is quite comfortably a Queen sized room, is just off to the right of the spacious living room. Down the hall to the left will lead you to two abundant common closets and your marble bathroom. The smallest of the rooms can be found here right across the hall from the king sized master.
There is an attentive, full-time, Live-in Super and Laundry on premises; A bike room; A party room; A courtyard.
The central shopping area of Hudson Heights is just down the street with Cafe Buunnii for Ethiopian style coffee and food, Frank's Market and Ozzies for all your grocery needs, Fresco's Pizza for awesome pizza, Refried Beans for Mexican food and the newly opened Tampopo Kitchen. Dutch Baby Bakery/Cafe and the long running Kismat for Indian cuisine, banking, pharmacy and dry cleaning services are all readily available - what else do you need? The A train is more or less a 5 minute walk, about 10 minutes to the 1 train - M4 and M98-LTD bus options are also available. But my favorite luxury of this location is the short walk to Fort Tryon Park with breathtaking views over the Hudson.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS
Between 155th and 190th Street is the energetic residential
neighborhood of Washington Heights. Now ranked as Manhattan's 4th
safest neighborhood, many families have resided in this area for
generations. As one popular musical states, "the streets are filled
with music" in this uptown neighborhood full of friendly faces,
great food, and beautiful architecture.
Named for Fort Washington, which was constructed to fend off the
British during the American Revolutionary War, Washington Heights
was largely farmland, with several stately manors peppering the
hilly area. One such manor, the Morris-Jumel House, still stands
today as the oldest building in Manhattan.
As the city expanded after the revolution, more and more
structures were built in the Heights to house the growing
population. The development of apartment complexes and row houses
led to an influx of Irish immigrants in the 1900′s, followed by a
large Jewish population in the…
