Move right into this spacious and elegant prewar loft located in Tribeca's most sought-after 24-hour doorman condominium! A gracious foyer leads to an open Living/Dining room with high ceilings, gorgeous Brazilian walnut floors, and tranquil exposures from double-glazed windows. The oversized chef's kitchen is set back from the entertaining space and features deep stone countertops, abundant custom cabinetry and top-of-the-line appliances including a SubZero refrigerator, Whirlpool dishwasher, and a 6-burner professional Thermador range. Beyond the living room, a wide hallway with floor-to-ceiling closets leads to a king-sized Master Bedroom with pin-drop quiet exposures. Nearby, the oversized bathroom features Kohler fixtures and plenty of storage. At the opposite end of the loft you'll find a large separate Guest room/home office with an enormous closet, and a large proper laundry room with even more storage.

All this, located in an established full-service luxury condominium featuring a 24-hour doorman, porter, full-time superintendent, brand new fitness center with steam room, separate bike room and spectacular common roof terrace with outdoor grill. And of course there's the convenient location, putting you right in the heart of Downtown's most desirable neighborhood with great restaurants, cafes, shopping and all major subway lines right at your doorstep.

The Textile Building is a NYC Landmark condominium and one of Tribeca's residential masterpieces, designed in 1901 by Henry J. Hardenburgh, famed architect of the Plaza Hotel and the Dakota Apartments.  Architects Karl Fisher and Alan Ritchie tastefully designed the Textile Building's conversion into 46 grand residences in 2001, making it the first of the historic Tribeca commercial to residential conversions. The neoclassic structure has units ranging from 1300 square feet to over 7,000 square feet.  There are 3 to 6 apartments per floor, offering residents privacy and serenity.  Apartments have gas fireplaces, individually controlled heating and air-conditioning, and original Carnegie steel columns, which support the building's 14 story structure. The hallways pay homage to the textile industry with antique decorations.  The building amenities include a 24-hour attended lobby with concierge, a fitness center, a residents' library/media room with full kitchen and wet bar, a rooftop terrace with outdoor grills, dining and lounge seating, and children's play area, garden courtyard, package room, cold storage, bicycle room, private storage, and a pet friendly environment. From the ornate Caduceuses and Cartouches adorning the faAƒA§ade to the displays of antique American textiles, technology and materials associated with the emerging textile industry, the Textile Building incorporates old world charm with all the conveniences and amenities of modern luxury residential living.

TRIBECA

The triangle below Canal Street is the cool place to be, especially if you're into historic buildings, cute boutiques, and great food. Surrounded by Canal Street, West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street, Tribeca is a popular place for the young eclectic professionals of NYC.

Fun Facts and History of Tribeca

Originally used for farmland after the colonization of the Dutch, the land was given to Trinity Church in 1705. The church would own the area for over 100 years, building separate churches and living spaces for the growing population. These homes would later be recognized as one of NYC's first residential neighborhoods beyond the original colonial boundaries.

By the 1840's, several piers had been built in the area, which encouraged trading ships to land there rather than navigate the more difficult East River. This made industry in the area explode, making it a hub for produce and textile creation. The industry of the area only grew after the construction of the subway and…
