I have an open room in a brand new 2br Bed-Stuy apartment w/ private roof deck and washer/dryer in unit - available June 1 (potentially sooner) for a long-term lease.
The Room/Apartment: The available room can fit up to a queen bed comfortably and has two large windows allow plenty of light in and a great view of the city skyline. There's a standard closet as well as additional storage space in the apt and in the basement. The apartment has a large kitchen with brand new appliances, gas stove, double sinks and more storage than we'll need. There is a brand new washer/dryer in unit. The living room has a beautiful skylight allowing for great natural light. There is also a LARGE private roof area right off the front door and a private mud room.
The Spot: The apartment is located in the heart of Bed-Stuy in a newly renovated building. A few short blocks walk to the G train getting you to downtown Brooklyn or Park Slope in a few stops and multiple different transfers into Manhattan. A short 15 min walk to stores and restaurants on Fulton & Atlantic Ave.
The Roommate: A 32-year-old native Californian and newish New Yorker who is still discovering the city. I work in politics and travel a ton for both work and personal. When not traveling I do work from home, but usually at a local coffee shop. You can usually find me trying out a new restaurant, grabbing a drink at a piano bar or catching a show. I'm pretty laid back, non-smoker and love to sing in the shower.
You: very clean & tidy, full-time job/consistent income, non-smoker, LGBT friendly, courteous & respectful.
Details: Rent is $1350/month + utilites (usually $100/month)
