Historically a textile manufacturing facility, this 100-year-old building is not your conventional post-grad Brooklyn loft experience. Our long-term building residents are accomplished and mature professionals. There are no parties, dogs, booming sound systems, or woodshops. This is a very quiet building and we are in search of applicants with a comparable lifestyle and similar expectations. We performed these renovations 20 years ago and maintain and manage all aspects of the building's operation. No other agencies or brokers are representing this property.

Our rooftop is a 15,000 square foot green space with plants, tables, and a full Manhattan skyline view. Features include gigabit fiber internet, on-site laundry, and a freight elevator. Our spaces boast no-frills accoutrements with authentic, original industrial accents. This particular unit has two full wall of windows facing east and south for ample direct sunlight. There is a bedroom constructed in the space to provide additional privacy. The property maintains its strong security with electronic card key building access and three locked barriers to entry for each unit.

There are over 50 units in our building, ranging in size from 200-900 actual square feet. This space has 11-foot ceilings and hardwood floors with all refinished surfaces. As part of the building's restoration, all gas, water, and electric utility service from the street to the apartment has been replaced. This means full water pressure through clean pipes and electric service without glitch or interruption. Metered utility billing is based on each unit's individual usage. We are located two blocks from the Morgan Ave L train stop (15 min. to Union Square) at 57 Thames Street in Brooklyn.

Fun Facts and History of Williamsburg

Originally it's own village, Williamsburg has had a long history as a home for Manhattanites seeking a less-expensive refuge across the river. Because of the convenience of the village, the population grew fast. It became the Town of Williamsburg in 1840, and evolved again into the City of Williamsburg in 1855. However, Williamsburg was soon incorporated into Brooklyn that same year.

Once Brooklyn became part of New York City in 1898, more transportation options were added, making Williamsburg very popular, especially among immigrant populations. Post-WWII, it became home to many Hasidic Jews as well as people from Puerto Rico and theā€¦
