DESCRIPTION
44W is an expansive half-floor residence with approximately 3,562 interior sq ft and 14 ft ceilings throughout. The apartment is currently laid out as a 4 bedroom with 4.5 baths, but also offers a flexible floor plan depending on buyer preference. This brand new, mint apartment features north, west and south exposures that provide phenomenal views of Midtown, the Hudson River and the Freedom Tower. There are two large balconies located off of the great room facing north, and off of the master bedroom facing south.  Herzog & de Meuron custom interiors have designed a kitchen that features a sculptural Absolute Black granite kitchen island and Corian counter tops, as well as seamlessly-incorporated appliances that include a double Sub-Zero refrigerator and wine cooler, Miele double oven, six-burner cook top with fully-vented hood, and two dishwashers. Satin-etched glass cabinets provide abundant storage. The designers also created a windowed fivefixture master bath of travertine and marble with radiant heated floors, and installed Appalachian solid White Oak flooring throughout the residence. The laundry room has a Maytag vented washer/dryer. An extensive four-pipe heating and cooling system provides year-round multi-zone climate control. 56 Leonard is a full service new condo development with 17,000 sq ft of amenities including a gym, swimming pool, media room, private dining room and catering kitchen, live-in super, and on-site garage.
