DESCRIPTION
This fantastically large 4BR DUPLEX home on E 5th near campuses and cafes offers all the details you desire to make your dream a reality: a lovely location just south of Tompkins; private roof deck for stargazing and lounging with friends; plenty of sunlit space to furnish, relax, and entertain; serious living room; a modern kitchen with attractive appliances for making marvelous meals; deep closets to tidy up your storage; handsome hardwood floors, soaring ceilings, and two brilliant tiled baths for soaking and soothing your stress away!
The East Village is the reigning neighborhood for those who savor independence from the concrete demands of the uptown grid. Known for its naughty nightlife, it's a place where taverns, pubs, bars and clubs compete to pour the shots, artists strive to push the limits of creativity, where scholars and professionals let loose and enjoy the sweetness of decadence in dining, theatre, relaxation. It's a paradise for people-watching from Tompkins Square to the Bowery, dotted with small shops which share the spirit of counter cultural community that defines its restlessly hedonistic atmosphere.
Private outdoor space is rare, and outstanding deals disappear in a flash. Contact me today to schedule a viewing of this and many other brilliant homes I have throughout the City, and live somewhere you'll love!

MAP
KENSINGTON
Surrounded by Windsor Terrace, Borough Park, and Flatbush,
Kensington is a diverse, peaceful neighborhood. There's a large
Orthodox Jewish population, which has made its mark on the
neighborhood with kosher eateries and religious buildings. That
said, the majority of new people moving here are young
professionals seeking a large, affordable apartment.
While Kensington was originally settled as part of The Town of
Flatbush, the land wasn't used for much. It wasn't until 1737 that
the area was properly settled by the British as farmland.
Kensington would be used for agricultural purposes throughout the
1700's and 1800's.
It wasn't until 1885 that Kensington was turned into a
residential neighborhood. The Ocean Parkway, finished in 1880,
helped make the area popular. Businesses started popping up next to
it, as did apartment complexes. By the 1920's, Kensington was full
of people.
Kensington ran into some issues around the 1950's and 60's…
