DESCRIPTION
Sorry, this room is not eligible for vouchers, city or state.
Don't blow this off just because it's a Freakin' (awesome) Basement!
At least come over and look at it before you continue searching for your fancy "luxury" loft, or your 5 roommate/1 bath situation, because you "just have to live in Williamsburg"!
$1500 total. short term welcome. No, really.... ALL UTILITIES AND BILLS ARE INCLUDED, within reason... We aren't giving you free reign to the pay-per-view.
Look... Yes, it's a freakin' basement room. So what... There is a window. There are lots of very bright, but dimmable lights.
It's a large, but interesting L shaped room. Make it yours. Shape it into two rooms if you want. It's big enough to fit a queen- or king-sized bed and still have a den or office. Have a guest over... as long as they are not living with you...we probably won't even know you are home.
You have your own private kitchenette. Not good enough? Fine. Then you can use our kitchen sometimes too. Just ask.
You have your own freakin' bathroom too. All yours... We don't go there. Just don't be a slob, please.
Oooh, and you get your own DVR. We pretty much have almost all premium cable and the high speed interwebs. You even get your own network!
And don't forget there is your own private entrance to our fantastic private backyard garden. Do you like to grill? Well, you can. It's all included. Just clean up when you are done. That is only the right thing to do.
Oh, and there is portable A/C. Not in your whole window, silly! That is for some natural light... Guess what? The basement has its own separate heat thermostat. In the winter we can turn it up for you... It's all included.
Come and go as you please. Yes, you do enter through our part of the apartment, but we don't bite. We are just your upstairs neighbors. We are a pretty chill, freelance couple. We have two elderly cats. No more. No less. The only catch is, I will occasionally use my office, which is also downstairs. Can you deal with that??? Your wall on my office wall is well insulated, so it will not be too loud.
If you are new to NYC, a very serious student, a hermit, tour a lot, a freelancer, or work ridiculous hours, this is a beyond perfect place for you and all your stuff! If you aren't any of those things, check it out too. It may just be perfect for you as well.
But how would you know if you skip this post, because of the freakin' basement thing???
No smokers, no couples, no party animals, and no other animals. Well maybe fish or lizards... Really, we just want someone who's tidy, responsible, and nice.

WILLIAMSBURG
Famous outside of NYC, Williamsburg is a rapidly growing
neighborhood known for a large population of young artists, indie
rockers, hipsters and a diverse community. Surrounded by
Greenpoint, Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Clinton Hill, and Navy
Yard, Williamsburg is a bustling neighborhood with a lot to
offer.
Originally it's own village, Williamsburg has had a long history
as a home for Manhattanites seeking a less-expensive refuge across
the river. Because of the convenience of the village, the
population grew fast. It became the Town of Williamsburg in 1840,
and evolved again into the City of Williamsburg in 1855. However,
Williamsburg was soon incorporated into Brooklyn that same
year.
Once Brooklyn became part of New York City in 1898, more
transportation options were added, making Williamsburg very
popular, especially among immigrant populations. Post-WWII, it
became home to many Hasidic Jews as well as people from Puerto Rico
