DESCRIPTION
Listing description:
My husband and I absolutely love our apartment, but with both of us working from home we're in need of some additional space. We're looking for someone to sublet or take over our lease through 4/30/2021. We're also open to a summer sublet or something similar, please reach out to me to discuss if this is of interest.
About the Space:
Open concept, with an in-unit washer dryer, wraparound Juliet balcony, floor to ceiling windows (with blackout shades), walk in closet. Just under 800 sq ft and is one of the coveted, rarely available 1 bedroom corner units in this building.
The building features include: doorman, elevator, pool table, business center, library kids playroom, garage, gym, yoga room, bike room, storage lockers, roof deck with grills with East River views, and a sundeck. The building is also pet friendly. It really is a rare NYC gem as it's a small, luxury, rental building. I can't say enough good things about the management or the super who really take care of the building and make you feel like this is your home rather than a rental. The building is new, built in 2015 and we were the first and only tenants.
This UES Neighborhood is quiet and near to John Jay Park, which has a pool, Carl Shurz Park and Central Park. Perfect location for anyone in the medical field as it's near to Mount Sinai, MSK, Weill Cornell, HSS, Lenox Hill, and NY Presbyterian. Nearest subways are 72nd Street Q and 77th Street 6 train.

MAP
UPPER EAST SIDE
The Upper East Side has a reputation of wealth and opulence.
Once home to the wealthiest New Yorkers (like the Kennedys, the
Roosevelts, and the Rockefellers), the UES is filled with ornate
and beautiful buildings. Today, the Upper East Side is still
considered one of the more expensive neighborhoods, however, in
recent years, it has begun to see younger arrivals (people in their
20s and 30s) who are finding better deals up north, away from the
Lower East Side and/or hip Williamsburg.
With the completion of the 2nd Avenue train, the neighborhood is
only becoming more accessible to everyone as previously the only
train servicing the UEW was the 4,5,6 on Lexington Avenue. Even
better, the further east you go, the cheaper the apartments get.
All this is only adding on to the interest from renters who no
longer have to commute for as long to get to the area.
The Upper East Side contains some smaller neighborhoods such as
Yorkville, Lenox Hill, Carnegie…
