DESCRIPTION
I have been living in my lovely Astoria apartment with my roommate(female; 31) whom I met from Craiglist for the past 4.5 years. This is a 6 month sublease from March 1, 2022 - August 31st, 2022.

Please state that you meet the requirements and answer the following questions, otherwise you will not be considered:
-You must have good credit (700+) AND earn over $80k or have a NY guarantor.
-Previous living experiences, living habits, interest?
-What is your current living situation?
-Current occupation/work schedule/routine?
-If you have any social media, can you please attach? - Background check :)

About the apartment:
Location: Astoria/LIC (34th St and 34th Ave)
Subway: 5-7 minute walk to MR and NW lines, which are both a 10 minute subway ride away from Manhattan
Cost: First and last month rent, and security deposit (one month rent) $1000/month
Not included: Utilities (you would split that with my roommate)/Laundry (There's a cheap laundry mat down the street)
Bedroom not furnished, but common space and kitchen are fully furnished.

This is a lease with my current roommate who is an amazing, easy going young professional. She is super friendly and very respectful. She is easy to talk to. She is working remotely from home. She loves to travel and practices yoga/workouts. The space is not remote friendly so prefer a "work in office" roommate. You will be "interviewing" with my roommate as you will be sharing the apartment with her.

Mostly residential, this neighborhood has many hidden gems like restaurants, museums, art galleries, and performance venues. Perfect for those seeking a relaxed alternative to Manhattan while also having easy access to it, Astoria is perfect for young professionals and families.

Fun Facts and History of Astoria

Astoria is named for John Jacob Astor, the very first multi-millionaire in the United States. Back when the area was colonized in 1652, Astoria was originally called "Hallet's Cove." That name persisted until the neighborhood was officially named a town in 1839, when the residents were trying to persuade Astor to invest in the area.

Astor did end up investing and the town of Astoria lasted around 30 years before being absorbed into Long Island City in 1870, and then into the Great New York City as a part of Queens in 1898. As the population grew and industry came to Queens…
