DESCRIPTION
Backyard Oasis in Prime Chelsea! Private, Quiet and Serene.
Wake up to the sounds of birds chirping on the middle of a town home and tree lined street. Located on one of the best blocks in Chelsea in the back of a brick town home, this large alcove apartment has a gracious layout that allows for distinct living areas with a dining area, living room and bed tucked away. The open kitchen was recently renovated to include a large, deep sink and new counter tops were installed. Great for cooking and entertaining with a large breakfast bar. Recently installed twin double pane sliding doors and a window give you a view to your private backyard. Storage abounds with a walk-in closet and double closet in the entry.
This is a completely private and quiet apartment - nobody can see in and it faces the back.
The icing on the cake is a massive and beautifully done backyard, perfect for lounging and BBQing. There are perennials planted in the flower bed so in the spring you have Hostas, Lillies, Bleeding Hearts and Calladium. Enjoy the seasonal migration of Blue Jays, Robins and Cardinals. There is also a grape vine currently climbing up the reclaimed white wall and cafe lights strung across the patio.
The location is exceptional, across from the classic brick Atlantic theater and next to the original Thomas English Muffin house. There are laundromats on both 9th and 8th ave as well as two Rite Aids within a block. Walk over to Tenth Ave and go to Cookshop or walk up the stairs to the High Line.
Pet Friendly! This will go quickly! Cute dog in backyard not included.
The apartment layout is a Alcove Studio.

MAP
CHELSEA
Chelsea is a vibrant neighborhood from humble origins located on
the west side of Manhattan between 14th and 34th street. With a ton
of things to do, places to see, and some of the most luxurious
apartments in the city, Chelsea is a neighborhood that's always
looking for the next cool thing to add to the vibe of the area.
Chelsea originally started out as farmland, specifically the
farmland of British Major Thomas Clarke. Clarke named his estate
"Chelsea" after a district in London and the name stuck ever since.
In the early 1800's Clark's daughter sold the land to the city, and
Chelsea became an industrial neighborhood.
With industrialization came working class immigrants, who worked
the piers and helped build the row houses and low rise apartment
complexes that are still around to this day. Thanks to its surplus
of industries and piers, Chelsea soon became a slightly wealthy
neighborhood. It was even the sight of the new theater district
before…
