DESCRIPTION
Most of the studio was renovated in 2015.
It's a spacious studio of about 500 square feet with a view facing north. The current set up features a murphy bed that doubles as bookshelves (VERY easy/light to open up and put back) which provides greater openness when the bed isn't in use. The mattress is organic and just over a year old.
There is a full size, but not overbearing, dining room table with 4 chairs (you can easily fit more at the table). There's an additional, standalone bookcase, an armoire and trampoline/ottoman. Yes, a trampoline--as in mini-rebounder which you're welcome to use to bounce on so to pump up your heart and/or move your lymph. I have a special made cushion/skirt that sits on top of the trampoline, when not in use, thereby transforming it into an ottoman. If you have no interest in the trampoline-turned ottoman, I can easily put it in storage.
The separate galley kitchen has a dishwasher, farmhouse sink, considerable counter space, a Vitamix and Greenstar pro cold press juicer. There's also a Berkey water filter (which takes out the fluoride as well as the usual suspects) as well as a Berkey filter on the shower.
There's a separate dressing area between the main living room and the bathroom and the apartment has 3 closets--one linen closet, one extra-wide closet and another double closet (that allows for storage of off-season items).
I'm ideally looking to sublet from the end of December 2019-end of November 2020 (under such circumstances, any December days would be comped and January first would be the first month of payment). For the right person, I'm negotiable on the start/end dates if you prefer a full year or need a mid-December move in.
Full disclosure: this is a co-op which will require the extra step of a board interview. You'll also have to pay the application fees etc, however, by going direct through me, you'll save yourself the broker fee (approximately 2500) and the total fees will ammount to less than any broker fee for a comprable studio.
The building is very well run, quiet and the staff take great care of all residents. It's a full-service doorman building with a small gym and roof deck.
The space is quiet, super clean and lovingly cared for; it's a quick 10-minute walk to central park, myriad museums and right next to the new Q train. It's the perfecting landing pad for a professional or creative relocating to the city or someone considering a pied-a-terre.
Feel free to holler with any questions!

MAP
UPPER EAST SIDE
The Upper East Side has a reputation of wealth and opulence.
Once home to the wealthiest New Yorkers (like the Kennedys, the
Roosevelts, and the Rockefellers), the UES is filled with ornate
and beautiful buildings. Today, the Upper East Side is still
considered one of the more expensive neighborhoods, however, in
recent years, it has begun to see younger arrivals (people in their
20s and 30s) who are finding better deals up north, away from the
Lower East Side and/or hip Williamsburg.
With the completion of the 2nd Avenue train, the neighborhood is
only becoming more accessible to everyone as previously the only
train servicing the UEW was the 4,5,6 on Lexington Avenue. Even
better, the further east you go, the cheaper the apartments get.
All this is only adding on to the interest from renters who no
longer have to commute for as long to get to the area.
The Upper East Side contains some smaller neighborhoods such as
Yorkville, Lenox Hill, Carnegie…
