DESCRIPTION
Why are you looking for a renter?
We've left our apartment to stay with family for a few months and are looking for a tenant to fill our space. We wish we could stay.. we love this place. Note that we left before taking pictures of the second bedroom, but the second room looks much like the other that is pictured, minus the closet. The bedroom pictured actually has much more space that is not in the photograph. The room not pictured doesn't have that extra space, but the size is equivalent to what you see in the photo. Water and gas included, other utilities (fios gigabit wifi & electricity) not included but generally run ~$115/mo. Apartment comes furnished or unfurnished.

What do you love about this place?
Everything, honestly. Renting this out is bittersweet for us. Amazing views and centrally located to many Midtown sights and the East River walkway. Amazing natural light. Tons of restaurants and bars. Safe area. Much bigger than it looks in photos too.. which we know is very unusual with most postings in NYC. You won't be catfished :) Very pretty lobby, mail room, and elevator bank. Rooftop is amazing. Newly renovated gym in building is included for all tenants.

While the apartment is a flex 2, the second bedroom has a floor-to-ceiling wall with full door (second bedroom in pictures).

What isn't so great about this place?
Street noise can be heard at times like with most NYC apartments, but in the summer the A/C drowns out most of the noise.

KIPS BAY

Snuggled next to the East River between 23rd and 34 street, Kips Bay is very popular with families due to the great schools, hospital access, and general safety of the area. However, there has also been an increase in young professionals seeking to rent in the neighborhood as businesses continue to expand in Murray Hill and North Manhattan.

Fun Facts and History of Kips Bay

Kips Bay receives its name from the Kips family farm off the bay of the East River. The area in the 1600's and 1700's, was mostly farmland. As the decades went by, more and more of the land was bought off to make room for city developments. For example in 1794, Bellevue Farm was purchased in order to construct a medical facility, and in subsequent years, parcels of Kips Bay Farm were purchased to expand the facilities.

Kips Bay in the 1800's saw more of the same, land and markets were bought and moved uptown to make room for small business and row houses. By the 1900's Kips Bay looked pretty much the same for…
