DESCRIPTION
Why are you looking for a renter?
We are moving out of LIC to move to a house on Long Island
What do you love about this place?
I love how big this place is. It is a true one bedroom. Our bedroom has two closets and even fits a dresser, two nightstands, a queen-size bed, a tv, and still plenty of space to walk. We also have floor to ceiling windows in our bedroom. Our kitchen is super new and modern, we have a dishwasher, microwave, and floor to ceiling windows in our kitchen and living room. We are able to fit a desk, huge coach, stand up piano in our living room. We also have a W/D in our unit. I also love that we have a gym, two rooftop decks, a dog walker/grooming studio and dry cleaning within the building. and we are right next to the EMR subway line, and about a 5-minute walk from the NW7 line. Our stop is Queens Plaza/ Queensboro plaza. Since we are on the 29th floor, we do not hear anything from the streets!
What isn't so great about this place?
Honestly, everything is great. We would have resigned this lease if it wasn't for our jobs changing and was moving to Long Island. We are the first people to ever live in the apartment. I would say the only down thing about our place is that sometimes the elevators are reserved for people moving in or out or maintenance. but there are four elevators and the longest time I've ever waited was about 5 minutes. Another poor thing about our apartment is that since our windows are so large, we wake up with the sun in the morning, but we got blackout curtains for this issue, which we are keeping with the apartment so the tenants have it immediately!

Located right across the East River, you're traveling through
Long Island City if you want to get from Manhattan to Queens. Once
an industrial neighborhood, the last twenty years have been
transformative for this area as it quickly expands its population
and artistic culture.
The official coat of arms for LIC depicts the Native Americans,
Dutch, and English that once called the area home. LIC was its own
city from 1870 until it became part of the Greater City of New York
in 1898. Afterwards, LIC earned the distinction of being the First
Ward of the Queens Borough. LIC was a bustling commercial and
manufacturing hub as various factories opened up in the area.
In 2001, the city changed LIC's classification from commercial
to residential. Since then dozens of new luxury apartments have
been built here to support the growing population. LIC has become
known as an artist haven as many museums, galleries, restaurants,
and bars open their doors…
