DESCRIPTION
Amazing 1.5 bedroom in Kensington
You should see this top-floor, spacious, recently renovated, quiet, 1.5 bedroom in Kensington and Parkville before it's off the market. The rental includes hardwood floors throughout and large windows. In addition to the above, the apartment comes with heat/hot water included. The unit is filled with tons of sunlight to light up the space. You might never need it with NYC's abundant take-out options, but the kitchen has a kitchenette layout. You'll find a full-sized fridge, a gas oven, plenty of storage, and a gas range. The bedroom has hardwood floors and good storage. It's a well sized bedroom, and should fit a queen. The bathroom features a standard shower, a standard tub, marble finishes, and a medicine cabinet.

MAP
KENSINGTON
Surrounded by Windsor Terrace, Borough Park, and Flatbush,
Kensington is a diverse, peaceful neighborhood. There's a large
Orthodox Jewish population, which has made its mark on the
neighborhood with kosher eateries and religious buildings. That
said, the majority of new people moving here are young
professionals seeking a large, affordable apartment.
While Kensington was originally settled as part of The Town of
Flatbush, the land wasn't used for much. It wasn't until 1737 that
the area was properly settled by the British as farmland.
Kensington would be used for agricultural purposes throughout the
1700's and 1800's.
It wasn't until 1885 that Kensington was turned into a
residential neighborhood. The Ocean Parkway, finished in 1880,
helped make the area popular. Businesses started popping up next to
it, as did apartment complexes. By the 1920's, Kensington was full
of people.
Kensington ran into some issues around the 1950's and 60's…
