1 bedroom 600 sf. spacious, bright and quiet apartment on the 2nd floor of a private home. The house is on a quiet, tree-lined block, half a block away from Pratt, on the Fort Greene side. The entrance to the house is shared with only one other apartment, making it extremely safe.

The apartment has a spacious living room with two large windows, a large, quiet bedroom facing the backyard with trees all around. There is a full size bathroom with a bathtub and a window facing the back. There is a separate kitchen with a window off of the living room.

There are huge closets in the living room and bedroom and a decent sized closet in the hallway, providing plenty of storage space. There are hardwood floors throughout. The appliances are not brand new, but are in good condition. There is a fire escape overlooking the backyard that our current tenants use as an outdoor space. It's a great place to be outside during these times. There's also roof access.

Most of the furniture pictured will be available for sale at a very reasonable price from the current tenants, if that would make your move smoother.

Clinton Hill/Fort Greene is the perfect Brooklyn neighborhood. Fort Green Park, with it's wonderful Saturday farmers' market is a 7 minute walk away. There are great restaurants and bars around the corner on Myrtle Avenue and on Dekalb Avenue. We are right around the corner from a Key Food supermarket and other small produce markets, a laundromat right on the corner, and all other conveniences. Although technically in Clinton Hill, our block feels like a continuation of Fort Greene (it's like getting the best of these two great neighborhoods).

It's also close to Manhattan and accessible to the G and C trains. We are a 5 minute walk from the G train, and a 10 minute walk from the C train (Clinton-Washington stops). It takes 20 minutes to get to Manhattan. There are also several busses that stop around the corner, and a Citibike stand right on our corner.

CLINTON HILL

Snug between Fort Greene and Bed-Stuy, Clinton Hill is a neighborhood full of young professionals and students. Home to the Pratt Institute, this neighborhood has a lively nightlife that makes it popular with young folks.

Fun Facts and History of Clinton Hill

Clinton Hill was founded by Dutch settlers in the 1640's. The Dutch used the area as tobacco fields, even after the Revolutionary War. The area wasn't developed as a residential neighborhood until the 1830's, when it quickly became a popular neighborhood.

After the Civil War, row houses were built in the neighborhood and became the majority of homes in the area. The Pratt institute was developed in 1887, making the area very popular with young professionals.

By the 1900's, the area became so popular that several mansions, leftover from the previous century, were demolished to make way for apartment complexes. The Pratt Institute helped the area avoid issues other Brooklyn neighborhoods were facing during the financial crises…
