DESCRIPTION
Due to moving overseas in early April 2021 I am looking for someone to take over the lease for our apartment from early April 2021, either for 12 months or when the lease is up on 31 October 2021. Start date for the transfer is flexible.
The apartment is a spacious, south facing, sun filled 2-bedroom/1-bathroom in beautiful East Harlem. The master bedroom has a built in closet and my partner and I are using the second bedroom as an office, which works really well for couples working from home, but the apartment could also easily accommodate two singles.
The building is in one of the most convenient spots in East Harlem. It's a prewar walk-up, with the apartment on the top floor - getting you direct sunlight in every room! Theres a new laundry and bike storage area in the basement for tenants too. Neighbours are mostly long term residents who are very quiet, friendly and relaxed. We've lived in the building for over 2 years and have absolutely loved it!
The area is a few blocks north of the Upper East Side, a 3 minute walk to the 6-train at 103rd St Station and a 10 minute walk to the Q-train at 96th St. Central Park is only a 10 minute walk away and nothing has beat having it so close to home! There's plenty of restaurants and museums within a short walking distance too.
Rent is $2050 per month plus a security deposit of $2050
All the furniture seen in the photos is also available for purchase. For those interested in the apartment I can share a list of all the items and prices.

In fact, the population density here is about three times that of
the city as a whole! Starting at 96th street and following 5th
avenue all the way up to a point at 143rd, East Harlem is full of
culture and energy that is celebrated to this day.
In 1860, a residential settlement was developed on 110th St and
3rd Ave after residents were forced to move due to the construction
of Central Park. By the 1880s, row houses in East Harlem became
home to thousands of immigrants, mostly of German and Irish
descent. Soon after, Italians began moving into the neighborhood in
large numbers, and by the mid-1890s the neighborhood became known
as Italian Harlem.
In 1919, the Lexington Avenue Subway (now the 4, 5, 6, lines)
reached the neighborhood, which contributed to substantial
population growth. At the time, the area had oneā¦
