Looking for a roommate for immediate move in, but open to mid-August and possible Sept. 1st move in.

I am currently looking for a grad student or young professional to fill a bedroom in a spacious three-room apartment in the Ridgewood/Buschwick area. The apt is 2 blocks from the M. The room has three southern-facing windows with great light, a wonderful view of the backyard, a large closet, and plenty of room for a queen-sized bed.

This room's rent is $1000/month. Before moving in the first month + security deposit are due ($1000 rent + $1000 security = $2000 total. Utl. not included.

Both myself and my roommate are quiet, respectful graduate students. We both enjoy doing some work at home, but generally work at libraries and cafes when we aren't on campus. We are hoping to find someone with similar work habits, who is kind and independent but still willing to have the occasional drink together.

We almost have all of the common areas furnished. We have a couch, TV, kitchen table, etc. But the bedroom is unfurnished.

The apartment is a unit offered at a monthly price of $1,000. The person posting the listing did not specify that any pets were allowed. It may be the case that pets are ok and the manager simply has not yet filled out all the details.
