DESCRIPTION
Move in day August 1st. Lease ends in November and you have the option to extend **NO STRICT CONTRACT** Our landlord is very nice and easily reachable via phone and email.

FEMALE ONLY

This 4br/1 bath apt is in a pre-war building, so it's pretty large with really high ceiling. A normal size kitchen, a nice size living room, and there's ample storage space everywhere in the apt. My (queen size) bed is lofted, leaving me with a decent amount of space for wardrobe, desk, beanbag and etc. Room will come furnished (they're all just about a year old), but it doesn't have to come furnished.

You will be sharing this place with 3 other really decent roommates. One is a student at FIT, one just graduated, and the other one works professionally as a copywriter. They're very easy going, chill and open minded people that can also obtain their private lives without disturbing yours. We prefer to keep it strictly girls. Rooftop access is available for use, you usually don't see anyone up there, so that's where I do my yoga and tan. Utilities come out $40-55 per person.  Sorry no pets allowed, one of the roommate is allergic.

The apt is in a very conveniently located in the EV. Close to Whole foods, Trader Joes, Target, and other grocery stores. L train only 3 blocks away at the 14 and 1st ave stop, but if you walk a few blocks you can access most subway lines at the Union Square Block. Multiple Laundromats within a block or two radius. Very close to St Marks, Tompkins square Park, and many other fun attractions-see address to see what else is nearby.

EAST VILLAGE

Situated between 3rd avenue and the East River, with 14th street to the north and Houston to the south, this neighborhood is both stylish and laid back. Once the most vibrant art scene in NYC, it remains a trendy neighborhood to the avant-garde while also boasting a much more polished edge, complete with luxury condos, franchised coffee shops, and plenty of lunch spots.

Fun Facts and History of East Village

Like most of New York, the East Village started out as farmland. Until the early 1960s, the East Village was just the northern tip of the Lower East Side, largely occupied by German and Ukrainian working class immigrants. However, the Beat movement made its roots in the East Village in the 1950's and paved the way for the influx of the counterculture scene of the 60s.

Since then, the art scene of the East Village exploded with series like Andy Warhol's…
