What goes into the HopScore, you ask? Here&#8217;s a quick look:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>(Publicly available) Info that helps us gauge the quality, timeliness and completeness of the listing (you wouldn&#8217;t want to look at a listing without photos, right?).<br \/>\n+<\/div>\n<div>The internal track record of the listing within RentHop (price drops, how many inquiries an apartment has received, etc.).<\/div>\n<div>+<\/div>\n<div>The previous behavior of the broker or landlord offering the apartment (how quickly they respond to your inquiries, for example!).<\/div>\n<div>+<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>MIT wizardry<\/p>\n<div>= HopScore<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div id=\":1f4\">\n<div><\/div>\n<h2>Chicago Launch<\/h2>\n<div>For our Chicago launch, we&#8217;ve taken the three years of data we&#8217;ve gleaned from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.renthop.com\/apartments-for-rent\/new-york-ny\">New York City<\/a>. Now, we&#8217;ve also partnered with fellow Y Combinator backed company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yougotlistings.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouGotListings<\/a>\u00a0to help seed and calibrate the initial scoring.
