Listing #188WRR-C - Here s your chance to live in a beautifully renovated historic building in one of Chicago s most convenient locations! This 45-story Gothic Revival skyscraper was built in 1929. Today it houses just over 300 luxury apartments as well as retail, office space and an on-site restaurant. Residential amenities include a private movie theater and an indoor Olympic-sized swimming pool, as well as a fitness center and large resident lounge. It doesn t get any better in terms of transportation: you have access to every CTA train line and many buses within a 5 minute walk. Metra trains are also within walking distance, as is the Chicago Pedway. The central location of the building puts you within just a few blocks of many attractions-State Street shopping, the Magnificent Mile, the Theatre District, the Art Institue, River North nightlife, Randolph Street restaurants...the list goes on! There is 24-hour door staff to welcome you home from your urban adventures.

The apartments themselves boast soaring 9  or higher ceilings, wood flooring in living spaces (carpet in bedrooms) and oversized walk-in closets. In-unit washers and dryers as well as granite countertops in kitchens are standard, and each home has individually controlled heating and air conditioning.

There is no on-site parking, but parking is available at an additional charge right across the street from the building. Cats and dogs are accepted throughout (dog breed and weight restrictions apply) and there is a green patch for Fido right outside.

THE LOOP
About The Loop

Chances are if you've been to Chicago, you've spent some time in the Loop. There's so much to do that you may find yourself renting an apartment and calling it home for a while. According to the most recent census, 29,283 other people already do. Not only is The Loop the central business district; Chicago's street numbering system originates in the Loop at the intersection of State Street and Madison Street. It is undeniably Chicago's epicenter.

History of The Loop

In 1803 the U.S. Army erected Fort Dearborn on the south bank of the Chicago River, near where the Michigan Avenue Bridge is today. The expansion of rail transportation during 1800's gave way to Chicago becoming the nation's railway hub. In 1884 the world's first skyscraper, the Home Insurance Building, was built here, supported by a structural steel frame. Today The Loop is home to scores of skyscrapers, most notably, the Willis Tower, once the tallest building in the world.

RENTHOP DESCRIPTION
The apartment is a unit offered at a monthly price of $1,572. The manager specfically mentions dogs are allowed but strangely has not mentioned cats. It may be an oversight or the building may really not allow cats. We recommend inquiring about the specifics of the pet policy..
