Exploring New York
About Me
Paul Buttenhoff is the Director of Sales & Leasing at the Midtown West branch at Platinum Properties.
A licensed real estate agent since 2008, Buttenhoff was immediately successful, earning an award as the top-producing first-year agent for a preeminent Manhattan-based brokerage firm. This quickly led to him being offered the role of Senior Managing Director – a position in which he oversaw all aspects of business for nearly 80 agents and support staff. It was during this time that Buttenhoff developed and perfected his management techniques, implementing highly successful mentoring and training programs for new agents, and helping more experienced agents refine their skills through individualized coaching.
It was at this time that Buttenhoff, 36, also realized that his real passion and talent lay in helping agents develop their careers – leading him to Platinum Properties.
“My goal is to help Platinum Properties be recognized as the premier brokerage in Manhattan by assisting my agents to create a better customer experience by being experts in their profession,” said Buttenhoff. “I was drawn to the opportunity at Platinum Properties because of the company’s ability to help all clients, whether through commercial leasing and sales, or residential rentals and sales.”
As a non-competing manager, he now brings to the fore a wealth of market experience and proven management techniques, all while fostering a dynamic environment by creating friendly competition amongst his agents.
“Paul has an impressive knowledge of available apartment inventory and boundless enthusiasm and energy for locating a perfect home for any customer,” said Chris Mitchell, an agent at Platinum Properties. “In a market with an extremely low vacancy rate, he can easily point to a handful of good options to satisfy any renter or purchaser’s needs.”
With an eye on the future, Buttenhoff is looking forward to personal and professional growth at Platinum and an increased market presence.
A member of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New York Aquarium and Central Park Zoo, Buttenhoff, a graduate of Rowan University, resides in the Upper East Side with his wife and two-and-a-half year old daughter.
