I must admit that this review for Melissa Dehncke McGill is long overdue, because I can't thank her enough for her professionalism, sense of humor, and ability to ease our anxieties about finding the perfect space to call home in Brooklyn! I mean, this place is jaw dropping and I'm still in shock that I actually live here. :)

Melissa is professional, easy to work with, and most importantly, a nice person, which is hard to come by.
Melissa really knows Park Slope well. Almost instantly, she found an interesting brownstone there that met all of my requirements.
Melissa was by far the best realtor we dealt with! She has a great knowledge of the Brooklyn area which was help to us, a*s we were new to the area. She was very timely and showed us numerous apartments each time we meant with her. The apartments were high quality and as advertised. In general Ideal realty seems to be a great honest company. I would use Melissa and Ideal again in a minute and recommend them to my friends!
I worked with Melissa when renting my first Brooklyn apartment three years ago. After a dreadful experience with another local agent, my husband and I contacted her again, this time to help us find a home to buy. All in all, working with Melissa and her team has been a wonderful experience, and we look forward to working with them exclusively on future rentals of our garden apartment.

Melissa, and her manager over at Ideal Properties, Michael, followed through on everything they promised (including a postponement in lease signing, and assuring landlord would have the kitchen re-painted a different color despite originally resisting my request). Melissa is probably the best agent you can ask for. She is genuine, professional, and extremely hard working. She instantly replied to all of our queries and found tons of listings that match our preferences. She even was willing to stay out late on the weekends and show a few extra apartments to make sure we were satisfied. She is really great to work with if you are looking for around the Park Slope area. I definitely recommend her to everyone!

Melissa McGill was a wonderful agent and a breath of fresh air in the NYC rental game. Melissa worked long and hard for my partner and I to get the right apartment for us. She was thoughtful and kind and completely refreshing to work with after weeks of apartment hunting and random agents. She generously drove us to appointments and gave us lots of great advice about living in NYC (we're new transplants).
