About Me
William Smith Salesperson
Bill Smith is a person who enjoys other people, and real estate is a people business. He has bought and sold properties in several states and understands the difference between New York City real estate compared with the rest of the country. This allows him to prepare others, who are relocating, to the unique experience of purchasing a home in NYC. He knows how a transaction works and the numerous reasons they don't work. His strong work ethic, love of New York, and his genuine interest in those he works with gives Bill an edge as a real estate professional.
Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Bill was in show business as a child. He relocated to New York City in 1970 to attend New York University where he earned his degree in Theatre Arts. An actor, writer and producer, he starred in several, off-Broadway plays. He also had two of his own plays performed off-Broadway and acted, wrote and produced TV and radio commercials. He moved to Connecticut in 1995 to raise his child and returned to Manhattan in 2010.
Bill believes that Real Estate is a lot like show business. You just have to get everybody to follow the same script by listening intently to one another and having a mutual understanding and agreement of the goal. He always deals honestly with others to ensure repeat business and personal referrals.
A member of Actors Equity and The Dramatists Guild, Bill has worked with disabled veterans for many years in several VA Hospitals. When he is not renting or selling apartments, he continues to work with veterans in the drug and alcohol ward of the VA hospital in downtown Manhattan.
